SPM Guardians Winter Sports
Saint Peter-Marian is a member of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association and competes in the Division 1 and 1A categories, which varies by sport.
SPM views athletics as an extension of the classroom and an integral part of the student's high school experience. Coaches are teachers. Fields, rinks, courts and pools are the classroom where students learn teamwork and leadership regardless of the score.
All grades are eligible to participate.
Boys' Winter Sports
Basketball: Varsity, Jr. Varsity, Freshman, Jr. High
Indoor Track: Varsity (7 & 8 may participate)
Alpine Skiing: Varsity (Jr. High may participate)
Ice Hockey: Varsity, Jr. Varsity-A, Jr. Varsity-B
7th Grade can try-out for JVB,
8th Grade can try-out for JV-A and JV-B
Girls' Winter Sports
Basketball: Varsity, Jr. Varsity, Freshman, Jr. High
Cheerleading: Basketball & Hockey Varsity, Jr. Varsity, Jr. High
Alpine Skiing: Varsity (Jr. High may participate)
Indoor Track: Varsity (Jr. High may participate)
