While Saint Peter-Marian ensures that every student meets the basic minimum Massachusetts requirements for high school graduation, we also prepare students for potential acceptance into the nations finest post secondary education establishments. In keeping with our mission of opening doors for students to realize their full potential and life goals, we offer all the courses needed to meet the academic requirements of the higher education system. We encourage all students to challenge themselves and exceed their own expectations.
Our students go on to graduate from a remarkable variety of colleges and universities -- small and large, public and private, business schools and liberal arts colleges -- institutions as diverse as our student body. We will be happy to provide, upon request, a complete list of colleges our students have attended.
Academic Philosophy
We teach students how to think. We believe the education process has been successful when the student is prepared not only for advanced education but also for living a happy effective life. We are convinced that a student who leaves high school with the ability to solve problems, anticipate challenges and operate creatively has an advantage in the world.
Teaching Methodology
We engage our students through a variety of teaching methods. We stimulate curiosity, invite participation, challenge assumptions and address current world issues. Our teaching staff:
Responds and adapts to individual learning styles
Keeps students involved through visual, auditory and kinesthetic techniques
